Yesterday, when I was visiting and online exibition in the Grainger Museum of Melbourne, Australia, I found this kind of fantastic music instrument. The title of the exibition is "Garry Greenwood's Leather Alchemy: Instruments of Desire.




Garry Greenwood (1943–2005) was an important artist that made wonderfull instruments like this Dragon BassonUsing  buffalo leather he discovered new inventions in the area of alternative music technology. 



He studied the acoustic propierties of leader developing new instruments like Suspended HarmonicsThis is a bowl-within-a-bowl which is suspended by a guitar string attached to a peg which can be tuned to a note in the bass register.



Suspended Harmonics. 

Garry Greenwood invented other leather instruments like the Mountain Harp. This instrument was an inspiration in order to find a variation of the mbira, the African instrument also knows as "thumb piano".

Ayer, cuando estaba visitando una exposición online en el Museo Grainger de Melbourne, Australia, encontré una especie de instrumento musical fantástico. El título de la exposicion es "La Alquimia del Cuero de Garry Greenwood: Los instrumentos del deseo.

Garry Greenwood (1943-2005) fue un importante artista que hizo instrumentos maravillosos como este Fagot Dragón. Utilizando de cuero de búfalo descubrió nuevas invenciones en el área de tecnología de la música alternativa.

Estudió las propiedades acústicas del cuero desarrollando nuevos instrumentos como los Armónicos Suspendidos. Este es un cuenco dentro de otro recipiente-que está suspendido por una cuerda de guitarra,  conectada a una clavija puede ser afinar con una nota grave.

Garry Greenwood inventó otros instrumentos de cuero como el Arpa de Montaña. Este instrumento fue una inspiración con el fin de encontrar una variación de la mbira, el instrumento africano que también se conoce como "piano de pulgar".
